We almost always have a good time in our photo shoots. We get to go to beautiful locations - stand among the flowers in the springtime, wade in a creek in the summer. Well this summer has been pretty wet in Georgia. So Clare and I had the brilliant idea of standing outside in the rain. Sort of a summer cool off.
Now I have to tell you about our attire. It was agreed that the photos would be printed in black in white. So to make things more stark Clare and I dressed in black and white (My first wrong move)
Rain threatened but never showed and it was getting late. So we did what any resourceful children would do, we got out the hose.
Night fell and everyone is working to get the hose in place so it would seem as if we were in a summer shower. But this hose only had two settings, mist and downpour! Within seconds we were soaked, laughing our heads off and ruining almost every shot.
The one on the cover of abigslice.com is from very early on. There were probably 100 photos taken and that was the best - seriously. Finally Clare threw the umbrella down and said "Forget it!" And we stood under the hose for the last 10 or so shots. But as I found out, white is not the color for parading around in the rain.
Anyway, the moral of this story is we acted like children and had the time of our life.
